WHAT IS MOPS®
|
| MOPS® stands for “Mothers Of
PreSchoolers,” and applies to mothers in the season of life when your
children are between birth and age 6. MOPS® is a Christian organization
that believes mothers are important. Mothering matters, and moms need
help. MOPS® is where you will find encouragement, practical tips for
surviving the preschool years, friends and nurturing. |
| |
MOPS® OFFERS
|
- A haven for soothing frazzled nerves and forming lifelong friendships.
- A quality children’s program where little ones are cared for and loved.
- Teaching by experienced mothers who share biblical truths and practical ways to fulfill the varied roles of mother, wife and woman.
- Discussion groups in an encouraging, accepting atmosphere where moms can express their feelings on motherhood and marriage.
- An opportunity to complete a craft project moms probably wouldn't have the time or energy to attempt at home.
- A hot meal, eaten in peace.
As mothers of young children, we find a widening gap between our elusive expectations and the undeniable reality of our day-to-day
lives. Within this gap grow some of our most insistent basic needs, which we often ignore because of the demanding, hectic
nature of our days.
Ignoring these needs jeopardizes the health and well-being of Mom and endangers the whole family. Do you want to regain
perspective and balance and to be refreshed? Join MOPS®. MOPS® nurtures; MOPS® means caring; MOPS® believes in changing lives!

MOPS®
THEME FOR 2008/2009
|
Maybe life as a mom feels like
a merry-go-round as you go round and round
and up and down–but don’t seem to get anywhere. The MOPS International
theme for 2008-09 is Adventures in Mothering.
This theme equips moms to learn more about themselves as they go through
the adventure of motherhood. We will celebrate and embrace the fun
in the experiences, even in the midst of daily mom life that stretches us
emotionally and spiritually.
DON’T MISS YOUR CHANCE TO GET REFUELED, RECONNECTED AND REJUVENATED AS A MOM.
|
| |
MOPS® OPPORTUNITIES
|
| MOPS® offers many opportunities
for involvement. If you want to get involved, you can participate as
a helper on one of its many teams or in a leadership capacity through
its Steering Committee. MOPS® can help meet your needs while you help
meet the needs of others. |
